As an intern you will be responsible for helping to maintain a social media presence for the StarChefs.com brand across multiple platforms and will learn how to focus on multiple markets and promote specific events and targets. Interning with us will provide you substantive and challenging work experiences. You will have the opportunity to develop specific skills (i.e., SEO, social media management, research, writing, and presentation skills) and interact with key influencers within the exciting world of a culinary publication.
Because we are a small company (25 employees), you?ll have the opportunity to impact our business and the service we provide. Internships are for 3 to 6 months in our NY office and are unpaid. Internships can be eligible for college credit and you will receive a letter of recommendation.
In order to benefit from an internship with us you will need to be a self-starter capable of doing largely unsupervised work in our busy office. You will need to be an early adopter with a strong entrepreneurial passion for the evolving world of social media and a proactive individual who can work well as part of a growing team and who truly thrives on the challenges of operating in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment.
Our ideal candidate is a Social Media Marketing or Communications major in college with a degree from culinary school or comparable culinary experience. Knowledge of Hootsuite and social media management tools is a plus.
