Cooper Avenue is a 21st century food industry concept that will revolutionize the marketplace. Cooper will satisfy the culinary needs of the Mac generation by offering smart value, consistent quality, variety and by creating a powerful emotional bond with the public.
Cooper Avenue is many things: a high-energy restaurant serving fresh, creative dishes, a seafood and sushi counter, a lounge bar, an open bakery, a pastry shop, a deli; a coffee shop, a corner bar; and a market selling a wide variety of products. The design is fresh and exposed, there will be free wi-fi, Art, and a state-of-the-art sound system.
Miami Beach's Cooper Avenue is located on 17th street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
It opens in late September.
Lead daily/nightly bakery operations to ensure the proper production of all baked items and kitchen compliance with company policies and procedures. Coordinate and organize the kitchen in absence of the Pastry Chef. Delegate and follow up on assigned objectives.
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-Culinary School degree, completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience required
-Food Handler's certification may be required
-Minimum 7-10 years of bakery/bread production in a high volume, professional bakery, restaurant or hotel
-Minimum of two years supervisory experience required
-Long hours sometimes required
-Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
-Standing for long hours
-Exposed to heat and cold air
-May be indoor, outdoor and in refrigerated settings
-Varied weather conditions are expected
-Will work near moving or mechanical parts
-Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
-Continually works inside and closely with others. May require working alone. Frequently operates and works around kitchen equipment/machinery. Occasionally exposed to excessive hot or cold and noise. Occasionally encounter humidity/dampness and smoke. Exposed to related hazards, steam, hot grease and oil
