West Kitchen and Tavern Restaurant at The Loews Annapolis Hotel features Chesapeake Bay Regional cuisine and encompasses not only the best seafood our area has to offer but the best meat, dairy and produce from our region. We provide flexible, intelligent service in a vibrant environment to a variety of guests ranging from local residents and businesses to tourists, yachtsmen and government officials.
We are currently seeking a full time Lead Cook to deliver the best quality food that Annapolis has to offer.
The Restaurant will serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Cooks prepare hot/cold food items to order, according to approved standardized recipes. Plate food for service, according to established plating/presentation criteria. Ensures that all food served is of the highest quality and that it is served to the guest in a timely manner. This position will focus on the Restaurant line and will have key responsibilities in ensuring that all food for Room Service and the Breeze Restaurant is prepared according to the high standards of both Loews and our guests. He or she must be able to work stations saute, grill, and pantry. You must be a proven team player and a self starter with a desire to grow and learn new skills! Experience with cooking breakfast is required. Some cooks may also be responsible for assisting Room Service orders in the Main Kitchen.
The positions is full time and requires flexibility with scheduling including AM/PM and weekend shifts, inclusive of necessary holidays. We are unable to guarantee a set schedule, so candidates should have the freedom to work as business levels require if seeking full time.

Required Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a high volume, upscale establishment or post secondary culinary certification as "Cook" from a recognized culinary school or program. Thorough knowledge of safety and sanitation standards as well as knowledge and understanding of the use and care of kitchen equipment is also necessary. You must be able to work all stations including pantry, saute and grill. He or she should have an excellent work history, be dependable, flexible with a positive attitude and energy. Our kitchen is known for collaboration and team work, so if that is an environment you thrive in this may be the position for you!
Additional requirements include the ability to meet all physical demands of the position, be able to work a schedule that may include either AM, weekend and holiday shifts, be able to read, write and speak English and have a desire for growth and development in a busy and fast paced environment.
