Chef Richard Reddington of REDD restaurant is in search of enthusiastic, eager, line cooks to round out its kitchen staff of culinary professionals who are at the top of their field. We are looking for cooks in search of an inspiring atmosphere, with speed and intensity to push ones skills to the next level.
This opportunity is open for all cooks, both fresh out of culinary school and those with years of experience. REDD is looking for chefs who are striving to be the best they can be, pushing themselves to improve both their technique and speed. REDD will give one the opportunity to immensely improve their sense of urgency, efficiency, and organization. This environment will teach a chef how to overcome obstacles and problem solve at the most hectic of times and also give one the opportunity to be creative and contribute their own ideas to the food that will represent our establishment.
Opened in November, 2005, REDD offers food and wine lovers a new reason to visit Yountville's gourmet Restaurant Row. Reddington's vision calls for refined yet approachable food that, in flavor and texture, perfectly complements the Valley's bountiful array of wines. The 90-seat restaurant features a bar and indoor and outdoor dining in a relaxed contemporary setting designed by New York architects Asfour Guzy.
Must possess strong knife skills and comprehension of classic cooking techniques. Applicants must possess a sense of urgency. Cleanliness and efficiency required. Must have ability to communicate effectively with other cooks, Spanish speaker a plus. Experience a plus but not required. Full-time and part-time positions available now. Recent culinary school grads encouraged to apply. Must maintaining organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. A love for food, a passion for cooking, and a dedicated work ethic REQUIRED.
