Our client, an upscale, full service restaurant in downtown Burlington, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to manage the daily operations of the dining bar and restaurant. The restaurant is part of the Vermont Fresh Network and places a strong emphasis on locally sourced produce.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring that the diners have an excellent dining experience and plans, organizes, trains, develops and supervises the workers and resources of the restaurant for the efficient, well-prepared and profitable service of food and drink.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years restaurant management experience with full service, upscale dining along with a stable work history and positive career progression. A Bachelors degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable with a proven track record of success in a high volume restaurant with great service.
Great relationship building and communication skills are required. A solid financial background, knowledge of software programs (Point of Sale and Open Table), detail oriented, a strong sense of hospitality and ability to work independently is required. Solid wine and bar knowledge is a big plus for this position.
