Restaurant Assistant General Manager

Position Description:Wente Vineyards is the oldest continuously family owned and operated winery in California. Based in the Livermore Valley, just 30 miles east of the San Francisco Bay, Wente Vineyards is a dynamic winery that continues to innovate, building on its proud history. In addition to producing world class wines, the winery offers wine country experiences, including a Restaurant, Events Center, Summer Concert Series, and Greg Norman designed Golf Course. Wente Family Estates is the national and international sales and marketing organization for Wente Vineyards as well as our other Livermore Valley wineries: Tam?s Estates and Murrieta's Well.

The Restaurant Assistant General Manager reports to the Restaurant General Manager and provides support in all aspects of restaurant FOH operations. Provides outstanding leadership and communication, including a positive and professional organizational image to the general public and community. Directs FOH activities consistent with established goals, objectives, standards and policies.

Requirements:
-Minimum of 2 years restaurant management experience in a fine dining environment
-Computer hardware and software savvy, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
-Experience with computerized Point of Sale systems (Aloha preferred)
-Demonstrable understanding of Profit and Loss statements and budgets

Responsibilities :
-Demonstrates the Hospitality gene (supports our Core Values: Respect, Integrity, Respect, Excellence)
-Collaborates with the management and staff to ensure excellent service and the consistent achievement of our Mission Statement (To create and deliver outstanding wine and wine country experiences)
- Work floor shifts
-Create and implement dining room floor plans
-Develop and motivate staff
