GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Manages production and service of all mise en place and products for dessert station in Ashley's
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Station preparation and mise en place production. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
2. Execution of orders. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
3. Work station sanitation. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily, with attention to detail, speed, and utmost quality. One must be organized, have excellent communication skills, able to follow directions thoroughly and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school, plus a Degree in Pastry Arts is preferred, with at least a year working within the culinary arts.
Responsible for frequent communication with Pastry Chef and co-workers regarding mise en place, customer's special requests, and shift turn over lists. Must be able to read and write well.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, particularly metric units of weight.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Must be able to prioritize, organize, follow-up, and be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
Under immediate supervision, performs general assignments of work, with periodic check of performance by Pastry Chef.
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, taste or smell; regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; frequently required to walk; and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
