Position Description:
The Historic Grand Union Hotel was originally opened in 1882 and went through various owners and renovations over the years. The current owners, Jim & Cheryl Gagnon, purchased the hotel in 1995 and renovated the hotel back to its elegant style with all the modern conveniences opening in 1999. The Grand Union Hotel is the oldest operating hotel in Montana.
The Union Grille Restaurant located in the Grand Union Hotel is serving Montana Regional Cuisine with as much focus on Farm to table ingredients and depth of flavor as possible. The Hotel is located along the Missouri River with outside patio dining in the summer. Our bar serves a selection of premium brews many from Montana's finest microbreweries, and has an excellent wine selection.
3-5 years experience is prefered. Salary will be determined based upon experience. A benefit and vacation package is available. To be able to write menus, inventory, dealing with local purveyors, taking charge of the kitchen in chefs absence, daily cleaning and sanitation, monitoring food cost and making sure minimal waste ensues. The Grand Union Hotel and Union Grille Restaurant is open year round but our busiests months are the summer from June through September. The winter months can be a little slower but we do have conferences, christmas parties, and other things to keep us busy.
