Position Description:
Description StarChefs.com 2012 International Chefs Congress (ICC) will take place September 30, October 1-2 in New York City. ICC is a three-day culinary symposium where more than 80 of the world's most influential and innovative chefs, pastry chefs, mixologists, and sommeliers present the latest techniques and culinary concepts to their peers. ICC is one of the most important culinary events in the US, and you'll get to help make it all happen.
We are looking for someone who cares about the details, who is eager to be part of a team, has a keen sense of organization and who has interest in the culinary world. The Event Coordinator position will play a key role at this year's event making sure details are in place for a smooth-running and overall successful event.
This is a full-time, in office contract position June-Oct 12, 2012.

Responsibilities
- Support event logistic and organization needs - Update mailing list and help coordinate mailing via mailing house - Coordinate all event signage (ie: sponsor logos, product descriptions, directional, general event signage) - Oversee the registration process ensuring all guests lists are pulled for presenters and sponsors; liaise with our registration partner: Cvent - Lounge area contest: selection, promotion, coordination of set-up with production company - On-site set-up and take-down support - On-site contact person for designated sponsors to assist with their needs - On-site runner for the Events Director - Provide a post mortem after the event
Qualifications
- Prior event experience, minimum 2 years - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Strong project management skills - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously - Ability to work as part of a team - Ability to gracefully follow up with others - Ability to anticipate event needs and act on them - Committed to high-quality follow through - Strong communication skills - Experience working in a non-traditional work environment - Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and e-mail) - Culinary background is a big plus
Compensation
This is a full time, contract position June- Oct 12, 2012. The compensation for this position is dependent on experience.
