Position Description:
StarChefs.com, an online magazine for the culinary industry, is now accepting applications for a creative, innovative, and - most importantly - food-savvy event planner to support our Events Department during our 7th annual International Chefs Congress (ICC).
This is a contract position from August 1st - October 3rd, 2012 with a stipend of $2,000.
The event planner will work with the Events Department at the StarChefs office to plan, organize, oversee, and run the four evening events of the 7th Annual International Chefs Congress including:

Qualifications The best candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a fast-paced organization, preferably with an event planning firm, hotel, or culinary organization.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of energy and work well both independently and as a part of a small, dedicated team. Applicants should have experience working with chefs, organizing culinary events and knowledge of fine-dining and wine is a plus.
Compensation The compensation for this position is $2,000 for full-time fork from August 1st - October 3rd, 2012. Those interested should not be motivated by money but by the invaluable connections and networking opportunities.
