Position Description:Katsuya is hiring Sous Chefs!

About Katsuya:

Featuring the dynamic pairing of Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi and design impresario Philippe Starck, Katsuya by Starck is truly a feast for the senses. With specialty cocktails, unique rolls and spectacular sushi and sashimi platters.

Chef Uechi skillfully translates Japanese flavors to the American palate. Signature dishes include Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Miso-Marinated Black Cod. With superb talent and exacting precision, Katsuya by Starck is changing the face of Japanese cuisine.

Qualifications:

All candidates must have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitude. They must also be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic, and able to multitask and take initiative in a VIP driven and guest service focused environment.

-Strong knife skills, experience working with Japanese cuisine & 2 years of previous experience for BOH positions

-Open Availability

-Highly organized with excellent follow up skills and extreme attention to detail

-Maintains a sense of urgency for the completion of responsibilities/tasks

-Exceptional communication and articulation skills

-Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond

-Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects; easily adapts to change
