|Position Description:||Lanny's Alta Cocina Mexicana is a fine dining restaurant serving eclectic Mediterranean style cuisine with the use of Authentic Mexican ingredients. The menu changes quarterly, based on seasonality. The tasting and wine pairing menu, which highlights the restaurant's most expressive items, may change daily.|
Lanny's, located in the Museum District of Fort Worth, will celebrate seven years on West 7th Street this summer.
The restaurant has been on top of the food scene in Fort Worth since its inception. Publications and patrons alike rate Lanny's in the top echelon for fine dining and consider the experience a must for all lovers of excellent food and drink.
A Fort Worth native and the great-grandson of the legendary Joe T. Garcia, owner and executive chef Lanny P. Lancarte II, offers a dynamic dining experience constantly pushing boundaries and forging the unexpected with his innovative cuisine.
Wine pairings complete the Lanny's experience. The award-winning wine list spans the globe, sharing overlooked gems while comprehensively covering most major wine producing regions.
-Wine Knowledge. The wine list is expansive and has over 200 labels with 12 by the glass options, as well as a nightly wine pairing. Making wine recommendations, selling wine, and managing the wine list is a major part of the position.
-Food Knowledge. The menu is ever evolving and changes often. Ingredients are always changing and explaining our cuisine and menu is necessary for all positions in the front of the house.
-Leadership Skills. The candidate must have the ability to lead and manage a small front of the house staff that includes wait staff, bartenders and hosts. Leading pre-shift meetings and performing closing duties will be among the daily tasks.
-Customer Service. Our service philosophy is explained as: quiet, unobtrusive, professional service that anticipates the guests' needs. The position will entail handling all customer requests as well as greeting and assisting customers in all areas of the dining room during service. This position demands patience and gratitude that typify our service philosophy.
