|Position Description:||Straight Wharf Restaurant and our sister restaurant Ventuno are currently accepting applications for a few kick-ass line cooks, pastry chefs/cooks and chefs de partie for the upcoming 2012 season. (May through October)|
Here's your chance to expand your range of technique--from making pasta to experimenting with circulator cooking and our charcuterie program to mastering a wood grill--in an intense summer season on one of the country's most beautiful islands...Straight Wharf and Ventuno work with a number of local farm(er)s--garden shifts available!--fishing cooperatives etc...to provide our guests with summer eating at its most elemental. We are looking for committed, hospitality-minded professionals who exhibit grace under pressure, demonstrate a predisposition to serve and who enjoy restaurant work (translation: if you're bitter, been-there or tired of the damn customers, this isn't for you....) to work with StarChef's Rising Stars Amanda Lydon and Gabriel Frasca at two island classics (featured in food and wine, bon appetit, the boston globe, boston magazine, the new york times et al).
Please have significant fine-dining experience.
