Position Description:
Winery Chefs, a Napa and Sonoma Valley catering company that provides culinary services to the wine industry is now accepting applications for an experienced chef de cuisine. Candidates must be highly organized, versed in a variety of regional cuisines and have the ability execute menus designed by the chef with minimal supervision. Winery Chefs seeks a candidate that has a passion and knowledge for food and wine and can express to our clients and guest the subtle nuances of wine and food pairing.
Duties Include:
-Organize and prep for all wine and food programs and events. -Coordinate execution of events with clients and staff. -Training of all cooks and stewards. -Maintain high level of consistency in product and service. -Exhibit an engaging and professional demeanor during tastings and events. -Meet or exceed productivity and cleanliness standards, taking corrective action as needed to ensure standards of integrity are maintained. -Create seasonal menus and recipes that pair with a variety of wine. -Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include nights and weekends.
Required experience:
-Must have at least 5 years professional culinary experience -Must have a considerable knowledge of wine and production -Must have excellent public speaking and presentation skills -Must be passionate about people and wine -Must have references
