Position Description:
The Executive Pastry Chef oversees all food production in the pastry shop and ensues that all associates are performing their duties above the standard. Develops new dessert menus for banquets as well as the rest of the resort outlets.Responsible for quality of all food items in the pastry department. Ensure high standards set forth by establishment. Also, responsible for safety and well being of all associates in the pastry kitchen. Reports all incidents which occur to the executive chef.
Duties:
Training of associates in their duties as well as other areas in the shop Maintain standards and keep the product on the cutting edge.
Placing all the orders for main products of the shop: chocolate, pastes, etc.
Complete daily line-up with associates Scheduling of pastry associates.
Keep pastry shop organized, clean, updated, and keep sanitation high.
Responsible for quality of all food items in the pastry department.
Ensure high standards set forth by establishment.
Also, responsible for safety and well being of all associates in the pastry kitchen.
Reports all incidents which occur to the executive chef.
Qualifications:
Degree from post secondary culinary arts training program desirable.
A minimum of five years in pastry field.
Ability to decorate show pieces for buffets desirable.
Have the desire to teach and grow with associates.
Must be able to speak English.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and be flexible with shifts
