As the name Bistro Laurent Tourondel (BLT) suggests, we present an adaptation of the American Steakhouse, elevating it with our signature style and finesse. The result - the Modern American Steakhouse.
The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for directing the operation of all food production for this very busy, all-day dining restaurant, as well as Catering and Room Service.
Responsible for the development of menu items for daily specials and blackboard items.
Ensures that BLT's high food standards and presentation are maintained consistently.
Assist in the development and achievement of the annual budget.
Responsible for food and labor cost.
Responsible for hiring, training and development of employees, and monitoring all culinary staff performance.

Job Requirements:Degree in Culinary Arts preferred or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
Must understand food, labor and cost controls.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to run a very high volume kitchen.
Impeccable service standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail.
Full knowledge of proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with restaurant and hotel standards and sanitation/health regulations.
Extensive knowledge and creativity with seasonal ingredients.
