Winterlake Lodge is a boutique wilderness lodge in the mountains of Southcentral Alaska. We are looking for a creative fine dining chef to cook for our guests from January 15 to April 1 for our short but creative winter season and then from May 1 to Sept 30 at Tutka Bay Lodge along the ocean . We have a unique kitchen overlooking the spectacular Tutka Bay, a seaside herb garden, and a small regional cooking school at the lodge. We are looking for a positive, hard-working team member who is comfortable with guest interaction, interested in the possibility of teaching culinary classes, and interested in using Alaska seafood and other local ingredients.
We cater to upscale adventure-travel clientele. Our chef is part of our management and leadership team that works closely with owner Chef Kirsten Dixon, an award-winning chef and cookbook author. Tutka Bay Lodge is well known for its intimate and unique wilderness setting. The lodge has a staff of seven people. We live along the ocean in Kachemak Bay, one of the most unique maritime environments in the world.
