We are in search of an Asst Production Development Chef to support our R&D team in the development of recipe and program processes. This position will be responsible for several different areas of culinary developement in a high volume, deadline focused environment.
-Organize and use time management approach to complete deadlines and or customer requests.
-Be flexible and complete tasks by using multiple approaches and angles.
Research & Development:
-Develop new meals and meal components in support of menu development for clients.
-Develop and demonstrate those new meals and meal components to fit within client cost targets in support of new business development.
-Stay on top of new trends in culinary. Collect information and inform management on new developments in the field (i.e.: ingredients, cooking techniques, preservation and packaging)
-Constantly look for ways to give WCG a competitive edge through: better quality, cost reduction, better nutritional profile, etc.
-Critique current meals and production processes and continually look for ways to improve overall quality, individual components of meals.
-Work with customers /clients culinary and or R&D department to transfer existing and exact recipes/formulas into Whitsons software programs.
-Use the industry experts and manufacturers for solutions to common problems and or ingredient issues.
-Work with the Quality Assurance department to create meal specifications for meals, complete with pictures/plating diagrams.
