We are currently accepting resumes for an editorial internship to develop content for our Chef Picks mobile app. As an intern you will be responsible for collecting restaurant recommendations from the countries most influential chefs, editing the recommendations, writing restaurant descriptions, conceptualizing new features to improve the app and developing ideas for future versions.
Interning with us will provide you substantive and challenging work experiences. You will have the opportunity to develop specific skills (i.e. research, writing, presentation skills) and interact with key influencers within the exciting culinary world.
Because we are a small company (25 employees), you have the opportunity to really make an impact. This internship is full-time for 5 months in our NY office and are NOT PAID. Internships can be eligible for college credit and you will receive a letter of recommendation. This year we've hired three of our interns for full-time employment - we're always looking for new talent!
In order to benefit from an internship with us you will need to be a self-starter capable of doing largely unsupervised editorial work in our busy NY office. You will need strong writing and research skills, strong interpersonal skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, a gregarious personality, and a drive for results. Our ideal candidate was an English, Journalism or Communications major in college and has attended culinary school, or had comparable culinary experience.
