Position Description:The Nines hotel is the height of luxury. Situated downtown next to Pioneer Square and Trimet Max light Rail. The casual sophistication, striking decor and impeccable service is a contemporary homage to the structure's storied past. To compliment the history of our beautiful hotel are its two amazing restaurants.

Imagine yourself working in one of our three kitchens helping to create the types of meals you normally read about online or in a magazine!!

Departure Restaurant is located on the rooftop and is known for creating modern Asian cuisine meals.

Urban Farmer steakhouse is the second restaurant that offers amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner meals and represents the best of the modern culinary movement.

Our Banquets Departments offers modern food with meaningful presentation all made from scratch.

Cities like like San Francisco, New York or Los Angeles are known for having amazing restaurants that offer a "flare, excitement and pizazz" to the meal and dining experience; that is what Departure, Urban Farmer and Banquets is looking to create as well.



Coordinate, plan and supervise the production, preparation and presentation of food for the hotel in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards and regulations and achieves profitable, competitive, quality products. Some responsibilities include production baking and banquet operations.

Job Qualifications

Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or complex problems and food and beverage management.

Requires oral and written communication skills.
