About the opportunity:
In response to our customer base's requests, Astor introduced a full line of hand made truffles. Astor was fortunate enough to bring in from France, a Master Chocolatier Sebastien Beline. Chef Beline, was a chocolatier at the world renowned Pastry shop Laduree. Chef Beline has launched an assorted truffle line, marketed under the Le Belge name.
These products have found their place in the most prestigious properties across the USA. In addition, due to Chef Beline's extraordinary talent of integrating, high quality chocolate product into a manufacturing environment, has led Astor to new opportunities. Astor is a leader in private label production for upscale gourmet stores. Through the efforts of Chef Beline, Astor has introduced a full line of unique flavored chocolate bars for these outlets.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for chocolate, who has demonstrated talent working with chocolate. The suitable candidate must have the determination and commitment to take this opportunity to the next level.
This is a ground floor opportunity to work under a highly successful chocolatier, who has studied in the most highly acclaimed culinary schools of France. Working with him will allow the candidate to learn unique methods of working with chocolate as well as the creation of distinctive truffles.
-Training and development of production workers, to work with products.
-Recipe recommendations for new products.
-Enhances department by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
-Ability to comprehend and follow recipes, expand and condense recipes, produce artistic and unique chocolate creations.
-Degree in Pastry Arts.
-One year experience working in a Pastry environment.
