|Position Description:||Lead/Head Chef|
We are looking for a Chef / Cook at Added Touch Catering, Marietta to:
Create homemade and upscale foods from provided menus from the Sales Team. Our food philosophy is an emphasis on fresh whole ingredients, home baked products, a blending of modern trends in flavor with traditional home cooking, and a fresh, bold presentation.
We are looking for qualified, motivated individuals with experience at a high level of excellence. Only those with serious culinary drive need apply. Must be a team player, dependable, positive attitude and show command of upscale culinary techniques.
This position requires candidates to have a US work permit.

Preferably six years experience in planning, organizing and executing multiple private events within all off premise venues. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, a strong commitment to teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment to deliver both spectacular food and high standards of service.
You will be the lead culinary person who is responsible for overseeing all of the culinary operations for this catering company. The Executive Chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline and performance reviews. Ideal candidates will possess a culinary degree with 6 years of culinary experience including a minimum of 4 years of culinary management experience. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role. Previous experience with control food & labor cost, demonstration cooking, menu development and pricing and development of culinary team preferred.
High-end culinary experience and capabilities is a must! Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
* Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities;
* Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food;
* Establish presentation technique and quality standards and ensure that all staff are following presentation procedures as well
* Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
* Oversee catering events and lead other chefs & staff
*Participate in actual food preparation, produce food consistently high quality, taste and presentation and expedite during peak meal periods as needed.
*Assist in the development and implement policies and controls on issues relating to kitchen operations to include, reduction of waste, spoilage and breakage; food handling and sanitation; recipe portion control and specifications; etc.
*Control food cost by training kitchen staff on the proper methods of food preparation and handling, by training employees on how to handle leftover food items and by making creative use of leftover food.
*Comply with all recipes and product specifications and ensure that staff does the same.
*Maintain effective communication within kitchen, be responsive to staff suggestions and concerns and work to resolve problems. Ensure that kitchen staff are kept aware of issues relating to food and beverage and general hotel operations. Attend meetings as scheduled and meet regularly with kitchen staff.
Exhibit creative use of available ingredients
Maintain our reputation for providing high quality, delicious food
Maintaining of a clean work space
Manage proper food handling, cooling, and storage regime
Experience in banquet and/or buffet and quantity food service preferred
Strong Interpersonal Skills
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds a minimum of 50 feet
