|Position Description:||Madera, the Michelin Star restaurant at Rosewood Sand Hill, is looking for a Sous Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal applicant will have 2-3 years' prior experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant. Must have a flexible schedule.|

Madera redefines the time-honored cooking techniques of the wood-burning grill and explores artfully-crafted, market-driven cuisine of bold flavors. Using sustainably harvested and produced seafood and meats, coupled with the bountiful harvest of the surrounding farming communities, Madera presents a menu of refined yet approachable food that honors the many culinary traditions of the Bay Area. Comfortable hallmarks such as grass fed beef and Dungeness crab are revisited and reinspired.
A comfortably elegant ambiance, picturesque views and outdoor terraces welcome guests and Silicon Valley locals to Madera. Featuring an open artisan wood-burning kitchen and extensive wine list, Madera serves American cuisine that celebrates the culinary traditions of the Western United States. In addition to indoor and outdoor dining, Madera offers two private dining rooms with private terraces and cozy fireplaces. This Menlo Park restaurant, convenient to Palo Alto, is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and for Sunday brunch as well.
Responsible for all aspects of managing the kitchen and kitchen personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/ storage of all food items in accordance with standards. Coordinates the purchase of all food and develops menus, maintaining approved food costs and labor costs.
