This restaurant has won James Beard and Food & Wine Magazine Awards. This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate. The restaurant/restaurant group has undergone a very prominent re-launch with lots of media attention spearheaded by a top PR firm in the US. This media blitz has included a very successful line of cookbooks, with more to come!
Very rustic, seasonal, simple, highest quality ingredients. Mediterranean and Italian influences on the menu.
A great passion for rustic, regional Mediterranean and Italian food and the use of local top quality seasonal ingredients.
Cooking skill sets that are particularly attractive that will prove to be essential along the way:
fresh pasta making
whole animal butchery
recipe writing and costing
ordering, receiving and inventory control
management of a staff of 20: hiring, firing, etc
proficient in Spanish is a plus
Offer will be a very competitive salary and great benefits, including 100% paid medical insurance, which only a couple of restaurants in the entire country can match.
Compensation will include a competitive base salary plus a profit sharing plan.
