Location (Jobing.com Arena): Owned by the City of Glendale, Jobing.com Arena is home to the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes. Since opening, the arena has established itself as one of the premiere sports and entertainment venues in the country and has earned its place of distinction as "Arizona's must play." Jobing.com Arena received the prestigious Pollstar Best New Concert Venue of the Year Award in 2004, and has been recognized by azcentral as the Best Sporting Venue and Best Major Concert Venue in the Valley. With two separate concourses on two seating levels, Jobing.com Arena provides guests with non-restricted views of the action. The Arena also features an intimate seating bowl with all the modern amenities. There are 87 Luxury Suites at Jobing.com Arena, which includes two Luxury Tower Suites and 12 Luxury Party Suites that can accommodate large groups of up to 50 people. In addition, the Comerica Bank Club (located on the Club Suites level) consists of approximately 400 upscale seats with unique club and dining opportunities. The Toyota Club (located directly behind the Coyotes and visiting team player benches) offers guests an up close and personal experience combined with first-class hospitality services.
Position Description: We are currently seeking an Executive Chef for the ARAMARK operation based at the Jobing.com Arena (Glendale, AZ) as Executive Chef you will train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise all related culinary activities. The Executive Chef will estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food, select and develop recipes, standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality, establish presentation technique and quality standards, plan and price menus, ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen. The Executive Chef will oversee special catering events and offer culinary instruction, demonstrating culinary techniques. The Executive Chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increases. The Executive Chef reports to the ARAMARK General Manager. The ideal candidate will travel (30%) and is to work in multiple locations in support of regional objectives.
Special Requirements: (Multiple location support within Glendale/Phoenix area)
This position also requires the seasonal culinary oversight of catering and concession for three Spring Training MLB stadiums through the months of March and April annually. Additionally, there will be responsibility to support the Cricket Amphitheater Food and Beverage operations.
