Position Description:
Supervise, participate, coordinate, direct and administer all phases of the food production in order to maximize profit and maintain high standards and quality for the pastry shop. Develop new dessert menus for banquet, restaurant, room service and bar. A minimum of two years as pastry chef and a minimum of five years in the pastry field is required. A degree from a post-secondary culinary arts program is preferred. MUST be proficient in large volume, plated desserts, petit fours, cakes, and sugar working. Ability to do decorative showpieces for buffets is also desirable. This position reports to the executive chef.
