The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the management and operations of the food and beverage departments to provide exceptional quality of product, choice and service to HSL's NewBridge on the Charles, a continuing multi-generational care retirement community. The Food & Beverage departments of culinary/kitchen, restaurants, and catering will serve the NewBridge's 256 independent living unit members in four dining rooms, a lounge, coffee/ice cream shop, several meeting/function rooms. A unique ?country kitchen?? (uni-serve) will serve small households within the 91 assisted living/memory support units and 268 unit Hebrew Rehabilitation Center on the NewBridge campus. Food and Beverage will also support the activities, programming and services offered to the members and staff of NewBridge, such as special/outdoor events. This position is responsible for procedural manuals, administration and operation plans, establishment and performance to financial objectives and standards of quality food service, cleanliness, merchandising, inventory control, promotions, creation of dietary needs menus and attractive collateral, analyzes business volumes and trends, F&B marketing and communication, compliance with all local, state and federal requirements relative to operation, equipment training, certification, and cleanliness. Must be committed to and an engaged participant in promoting the organization's core values of respect, dignity and empowerment for seniors and team members. Must be experienced in leading a diverse workforce and a leader that can build and inspire a team through motivation, synergy and open communications. BA/BS is required with 7-10 years food & beverage management, healthcare management experience preferred. Experience in multi-outlet food/beverage, catering and event management preferred. Certification or ability to gain certification in Food Service Sanitation, TIPS, TIPS trainer, CPR Certification required.
