Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar is seeking an experienced restaurant manager with a passion for food and service and a willingness to never accept mediocracy. The applicant must possess a willingness to teach as well as be taught and have the drive to grow with a thriving concept. Minimum of 3 years prior management experience is required and knowledge of Latin cuisine is a plus. The ideal candidate will be energetic and a great leader. Previous experience in an upscale dining establishment is required. Also, applicant must have hands on management style with strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse staff.
Reporting to the General Manager, will have management responsibilities for all day to day food operations to include accounting, budgeting, facilities, and personnel. Staffing and training of the DC Cuba Libre unit. The restaurant manager is totally responsible to assist in the goings on for the entire front of the house operations. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Restaurant policies and procedures 2. Staffing requirements for all meal periods 3. Payroll guidelines 4. Training schedules and training of all s key and hourly FOH employees 5. Sanitation both inside and outside of the property 6. Adhering to recipe and SOP guidelines
Must be an outstanding leader and manager. One who is firm, but fair and one whose work ethic and passion for the business is contagious throughout the organization One who has a passion for detail. A team player who is an excellent communicator.
