Position Description:
He/She will ensure high standards of quality and taste. We offer fixed monthly salary and plus accommodation in Tbilisi, Georgia. We need person with at least 5 years experience in Chinese cuisine.
Responsibilities include following:
? Stay in Tbilisi, Georgia for 6-8 months and Conduct training for cooks and kitchen helpers on job responsibilities; ? Maintain solid knowledge of ?American style Chinese? concept cuisine; ? Research and suggest to buy proper kitchen equipment for the project; ? Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of restaurant production to include all menu items; ? Researches and develops new and unique recipes; ? Responsible for training and coaching of kitchen staff; ? Be Totally Accountable and responsible for the restaurant kitchen; ? Displayed level of job knowledge, effectiveness and efficiency; ? Ensure each employee will be able to follow established recipe and plating guide to exact specifications; ? Maintain an exceptional menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation ? Ensure food quality is superior and take action to correct any irregularities ? Effectively communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees ? Assist Line Cooks wherever required to ensure optimum service to guests ? Supervise food production; ? Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards; ? Assist with sep-up, service and clean-up of food production; ? Assist with safety and training procedures in handling of food service equipment; ? Ensure compliance with state, local and regulatory agencies as it relates to food service; ? Other duties as assigned by Supervisors; ? Must be able to manage kitchen staff of 4 to 8 people;
Skills and qualifications
? At least five (5) years of culinary experience in Chinese cuisine; ? Ability to accurately cost menu and track food costs is essential ? Ability to adapts to market conditions and desires with a flexible and creative approach to menu design ? Minimum three (3) years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience; ? Comprehensive knowledge of techniques and equipment for preparing and presenting food products, including storage/handling techniques and HAACP standards; ? Leadership ability / ability to coach & develop employees; ? Creative skills in food preparation and presentation; ? Excellent time management skills; ? Ability to analyze product and work flow in kitchens and recommend improvements;
