Position Description:
Komi is seeking a Sommelier/Manager for our twelve-table restaurant.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience as a manager, with some fine dining experience -- but passion for the business, a willingness to learn and a warm personality will go a long way.
The candidate should be self-sufficient, a strong communicator, detail-oriented and capable of representing the wine list and dinner menu. Above all, the individual should love people and be inspired to creatively address customer service.
Komi has received four stars from Washingtonian Magazine and The Washington Post. Chef/Owner Johnny Monis was nominated for a 2008 James Beard Foundation Award for Rising Star Chef, and he was named among Food & Wine magazine's 10 Best New Chefs in 2007.
