Mayacama, a prestigious Private Golf Club in the heart of the Wine Country is searching for a Sous Chef who is organized, team-oriented and a skilled culinarian.
The ideal candidate will be able to prepare various meals from small corporate outings to upscale wedding packages to inspired contemporary cuisine for the Club in our fine dining restaurant. You will work in conjunction with our Executive Chef in the preparation and execution of all menus. Duties to include maintaining a high standard of quality for all food production and controlling food and labor cost while maximizing guest satisfaction. Must have the ability to thrive in a team environment focused on excellence and has a passion for the culinary field. The candidate will be professional, self-motivated, possess excellent presentation skills in addition to a strong work ethic and creative mindset. Experience in banquets and events required.
Requirements: Certifications as required to comply with local and state codes. Culinary Education preferred Three or more years of culinary experience (preferably in fine dining) Flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends Supervisory experience and ability to mentor staff Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize
