Position Description:4food is a Start Up QSR dedicated to serving fast, fresh, nutritious and delicious food (from local farms and producers) to as many people, of as many different age groups, lifestyles, income-levels, and ethnicities as possible. Uniquely, our venue-restaurants are designed to function as community hubs, as they satisfy local appetites in healthy and scalable ways. 4food has upgraded many of the foods that people already eat, such as burgers, nuggets, fries, salads and teas - transforming them into new menu items that are convenient, almost infinitely customizable to our guests. lifestyles and cultural preferences, measurably healthier than existing products, and yet reasonably priced.

Position Description:
4food is searching for Culinary Professionals with a proven track record of success. These professionals will provide support and development of the 4food food and beverage platforms. If you are a self-motivated, entrepreneurship-minded professional who gets excited about growth, loves challenges and you are looking to join a progressive organization, we encourage you to apply.

- Create and maintain a product catalog containing the items continually developed
- Produce written recipes and specifications
- Implement and internalize Lean Manufacturing principles and Quality Initiatives into the food development design process
- Responsible for the implementation of developed items into the production process ensuring that they comply with all relevant process parameters
- Create an environment of teamwork and collaboration that drives continuous improvement and generates recommendations for further improvements
- Adhere to deadlines and cost targets, interface with documentation, procurement, costing, and equipment
- Implement ongoing training for the 4food production staff to ensure quality, recipe, and spec compliance
- Develop and maintain an on-going proactive relationship with vendors while working with our first class procurement team.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with our nutrition team led by one of the country?s leading practitioners of integrated medicine.
- Stay current on culinary trends and understand how they can be applied to our platforms

Requirements:
- Three to five years experience as Sous chef or higher with menu development, recipe writing, and operations application experience
- Associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent work background
- Certified Nutritionist desirable
- Excellent skills at developing concepts, ensuring documentation and conducting professional and convincing menu presentations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with HACCP compliance and implementation
- Strong people and process management skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Nutrition based food processing software such as ESHA Food Processor.
- This position requires a valid U.S. Work permit
- No relocation expenses will be provided
- All applicants should reside within the New York City metro area.
