HERSHEY ENTERTAINMENT & RESORTS is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The Hotel Hershey celebrates its 75th Anniversary with ?The Grand Expansion.? The expansion will add a new a 130-seat upscale casual restaurant called Harvest, to the Hotel Hershey. Harvest will serve Genuine American Cuisine.
This position is responsible for food quality and presentation of all meals in Harvest restaurant at The Hotel Hershey including the seasonal poolside dining operation.
This position is responsible for all aspects of culinary operations to Hotel Hershey standards and in line with ServSafe, food safety protocol.
~Training and motivating employees
~Assisting with menu planning and costing
~Analyzing recipes and plate presentation
~Maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards
~Maintaining desired food inventory levels and food and labor costs
~Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
~Attending designated meetings.
*Minimum of five years experience in food preparation
*Degree in culinary arts preferred
*Minimum of two year experience in kitchen management.
*Proven leadership, motivation, communication and organization skills
*Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walking, bending, standing 85% of the shift, and working in extreme temperatures.
*Schedule will vary according to operational needs, but range between 6:00a.m. until approximately 10 p.m.; holidays and weekends required.
*Good personal hygiene is a must.
