Villa Services Manager

Position Description: Job Functions:

* Manage and train Lead Butlers, Butlers and Coordinators on the Villa level
* Supervise service in Villas and Baccarat areas
* Anticipate the guests? needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency, ensure personal supervision of guest complaints
* Coordinate activities as they relate to the Villa level with all other resort departments
* Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing, and exercise cost controls
* Understand and manage Profit and Loss statements, general business practices of Hotel and F&B operations
* Manage staffing, review schedules and vacations to effectively control labor costs and optimize service standards
* Ensure services are in accordance with the Five Star/Five Diamond Maintenance Program, to include carpet, walls, light bulbs, windows and overall general cleanliness
* Manage POS system pricing and maintenance issues to ensure checks can be processed correctly
* Effectively communicate with Management, Chefs and Culinary Staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees
* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures and standards
* Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
* Maintain complete knowledge of: all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available; the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list and guest room layout; locations and room numbers/names
* Establish par levels for supplies and equipment, completing requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business
* Prepare and assign weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts, adjusting schedules throughout the week to meet the business demands
* Conduct pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the days business
* Constantly monitor staff performance in all phases of service and job functions, ensuring that all procedures are carried out to departmental standard
* Check bar set-ups, buffet/reception tables and coffee breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness and layout; ensure agreement with function order and department standards; ensuring replenishment of items as specified and requested by group contact
* Organize, coordinate and direct staff in set-up, delivery and retrieval of amenities in accordance with departmental standards
* Provide feedback to staff on their performance, handling disciplinary problems and counsel employees according to Hotel standards
* Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
* Other related duties as necessary


Qualifications:
Required:


* At least eight years of service experience in a similar environment
* Four plus years of Food and Beverage management experience
* Excellent communication skills, and able to read and write English
* Excellent knowledge of specialized guest services, kitchen operations, beverage products, menu items and equipment used to perform these duties
* Excellent organizational skills; ability to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
* Effective listening abilities and ability to make strong judgment calls
* Capable of accessing all areas of the facility
* Ability to work a flexible schedule
* Professional appearance and demeanor
