The Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas is currently seeking a well seasoned line cook to work under the direction of Executive Chef, Guillaume Burlion. Chef Burlion is a 5-star/5-diamond rated Chef, who has the distinct honor to haven been inducted as a member of the exclusive ?Confr?rie de la Cha?ne des R?tisseurs?, being voted by the New York Times as one of the ?Best Chefs in America?. In addition, Chef Burlion was a recipient of the ?Chef Escofier of the Year? award.
Job Overview: Responsible for supervising and the preparation of all hot and cold dishes executed during the shift. Ensure the standards of quality and presentation as set by the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.
Job Responsibilities: ? Maintain proper sanitation, food handling and storage procedures. ? Ensure the maintenance of a clean working area at all times, following standards established for the kitchen. ? To ensure clean-up of work areas, hot and cold lines, tables. ? Reorganize/consolidate shelves and refrigeration after each shift. ? Assist the cook with butchering, pantry, prep as needed. ? Ensure accurate timing of completing menu items for quick service to guests. ? Perform other duties or special projects as requested by the Executive Chef.
