Position Description:
Cittanuova Restaurant in East Hampton is seeking a full-time, year-round Sous Chef.
The right candidate will have a good attitude, a determination to please customers and be a team leader in a positive environment. We are a young, energetic kitchen, passionate about Italian food, and we focus on consistency, efficiency, and most important, quality. He/she must take pride in serving good food, and confidently be able to reproduce the Chefs menu. A team attitude, versatility and ability to perform are a must.
We are a moderately high volume contemporary Italian restaurant, serving Italian style lunch and dinner, utilizing the finest local and regional produce, meats and fish. The menu focuses on traditional and expertly prepared pasta and regional specialties while utilizing modern and current food techniques.
Daily specials planning, basic purchasing knowledge, and team leadership skills are needed to help lead one of East Hampton's most popular restaurants. Previous Sous Chef experience preferred, but determination and attitude are equally as important as experience.
