As construction of our brand new state-of-the-art facilities begins, this is an exciting time to join the Seabrook Island Team.
Responsibilities include: Budgeting, Ordering, menu planning, expediting, hiring, training and managing the staff and culinary operations of two club dining facilities which include an upscale full service restaurant and casual lounge, an Oceanside full service restaurant, and private events.
Requirements include: *Minimum 4 years experience as head chef or executive sous chef at a high volume club or resort *Culinary Arts Degree or completion of accredited apprenticeship program preferred. Work towards CEC certification a plus. *Must have strong knowledge of kitchen inventory and ordering process, as well as the ability to set standards of recipes and cross utilization of all food items to reduce waste and control proper food cost. *Staffing, expediting and the ability to successfully supervise the staff and kitchen operations under the direction of the Director of Operations *Ability to schedule kitchen staff to meet business forecasts and budget guidelines. *Outstanding work ethic *Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills *Excellent culinary technique and ability to work the line
