|Position Description:||The Winnetu Oceanside Resort and Lure Restaurant, at South Beach, Edgartown, MA,|
our highly regarded destination resort and restaurant on Martha's Vineyard is seeking an experienced, hands-on Dining Room Manager/Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operation of all food service including our contemporary upscale dining program featuring local coastal cuisine, wedding and business banquet functions, breakfast, poolside luncheon and retail outlets.
The Dining Room Manager is responsible for ensuring excellence in food service, training, supervising and mentoring all dining room staff, control of beverage, labor and hardware costs, as well as insuring the profitability of our food and beverage operation.
The ideal candidate must be willing to be a team player with the resort general manager, restaurant manager, culinary management and other resort staff to provide high quality dining experiences that exceed guest expectations. He or she must be creative, organized, flexible, self-motivated and guest driven. Must have unlimited energy and enthusiasm for the hectic summer and shoulder seasons and be able to maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor while working under pressure.
Candidates should have prior dining room or restaurant manager experience in a similar operation, fine wine and beverage service experience, and a strong base for fine dining service training.
