|Position Description:||Cafe Gray seeking an Executive Steward for new upscale restaurant opening in Manhattan. Ideal candidate must have work experience in first class restaurant kitchens and a strong managerial background. Must be a responsible, hard working and motivated professional, with the ability to multi-task, pay great attention to detail, and have fluency in both English and Spanish. |
Manage all aspects of the stewarding staff.
Responsible for inventory, purchasing, and storage of all cleaning and maintenance equipment, chemicals, paper goods, beverages.
Responsible for receiving, rotation, quality, storage, return and reordering of all products.
Responsible for unpacking and stocking kitchen deliveries.
Purchasing and storage of all linen, china, glass, and silver.
Establish and organize cleaning schedule for entire restaurant
Hire, Schedule and Oversee overnight cleaning crew.
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen work area.
Understand how to use, operate and care for all kitchen equipment.
Establish monthly punch list of items needed for repair.
Daily and monthly inventory.
Work with Beverage Director on all beverage items.
