The Banquet Chef is responsible for food quality and presentation of all banquet meals.


Job Functions:

-Supervising food preparation, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen

-Monitoring food and labor costs; insuring that food is properly rotated

-Creating new menus

-Maintaining positive guest relations by anticipating needs and responding promptly to requests

-Regulating compliance with the standardized kitchen audit

-Training and coaching/counseling employees

-Assisting in all areas as needed

-Conducting daily staff line-ups

-Completing necessary paperwork and closing duties;and attending designated meetings


Qualifications:

-Degree in culinary arts preferred.
-Minimum 8 years experience in food preparation, including 2 years as a banquet chef or sous chef.
-Practical experience with Asian, South American, mid-Eastern, and classical French cuisine required.
-Experience in a high volume food operation.
-Proven leadership, motivation, communication, and organization skills.
-Professional image representative of property image.

Working Conditions:

-Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walking, bending, standing 95% of the shift, and working in extreme temperatures.
-Schedule will vary according to operational needs, but regularly includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.


The pay rate for this positions is $43,590 - $54,500 yearly.
