GENERAL SUMMARY:Prepare world class ,authentic original menu in State of The Art facility.Work with THE ORIGINAL IRON CHEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEYS TO SUCCESS: MUST BE PASSIONATE AND HAVE THE DESIRE TO BE THE BEST!!!!!!!
MUST BE FOCUSED and a SELF STARTER! HIGH VOLUME EXPERIENCE A PLUS!!!Success in this position can be seen in consistent excellence in food creation and production in all areas of the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
a)Day to day kitchen operations and execution of all Recipes, Standard Operational procedures and Menu items.Self starter and emphasis on sanitation a must!!Organizational skills and a thorough grasp of technology and systems are essential.MUST BE VERY CLEAN AND ORGANIZED!!!!
b) Exhibit ability to follow the lead of James Beard award winning chef on menu development models and work beside the industries top management professionals within New York's most Dynamic Restaurant environment.
c) Ongoing transfer of knowledge, skill and expertise for all chefs and cooks to follow cooking techniques, presentation and operational systems resulting in a clearly defined plan.
d) Participate in new menu and product development as needed.
e) Ensures the proper communication with all operational departments that support culinary area to ensure the delivery of operational excellence.
f) Commitment to personal development through additional training.
g) Demonstrates a commitment to workplace safety by adhering to General Safety Rules, always thinking of safety as the jobs are performed; reports any safety related concerns, suggestions or injuries immediately.
h) All other duties as assigned.
