Position Description:
New Restaurant in Washington DCs exciting West End is seeking Executive Chef to lead dynamic kitchen serving forward-thinking cuisine: breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night dining. The restaurant already features a wood burning oven and mint-condition equipment. Exec. Chef will be responsible for creating and consulting on menu, ordering, labor management, implementation and directing the menu.
We need an energetic individual with a great attitude; focus and passion who is prepared to take on the challenge with zeal and build a foundation for success. This is an existing establishment with a built-in clientele. Our intention is to maintain the existing customer base and build new clientele.
Applicant should also work well under pressure, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, willing to work long hours, and have a great sense of humor. Supervisory experience would be beneficial as well.
Requirements include a 2 years of full-service, high quality restaurant experience. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is welcome. We're looking for someone young at heart, with big dreams!
