Position Description:
High volumne off premise catering company seeks qualified individual to run pastry department. Minimum of 7 years direct pastry experience with at least 3 years as a pastry department manager. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of desserts, pastries, breads, and breakfast items. Experience with specialty cakes and sugar work a plus. Position also requires individual to supervise, produce and direct all phases of pastry department production. Individual must be able to respond to last minute changes and stressful situations in calm manner with positive attitude, as well as work cohesively and respectfully with all kitchen team members and executive savory chef on a daily basis in an open kitchen enviornment. Ability to comprehend, follow, expand, and condense recipes, and produce artistic and unique dessert items with an eye for detail. We offer a competitive salary with benefits.
