Michael's On East Restaurant and Catering has positions open in our fast-paced, in-house bake shop. To be considered, candidates must have recent personal experience in commercial scratch baking and pastry production for a miniimum of one year.
Requirements include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs., stand for extended periods and occasionally work in a refrigerated environment. Candidates must be able to work cleanly and efficiently under pressure, be organized, flexible and self-motivated. Must have a thorough understanding of baking basics, can expand and decrease formulas, adhere to consistency and uniformity specifications, and demonstrate ability to adapt and learn under the direction of the Pastry Chef. Also be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.
