The Corporate Director of Food and Beverage (CDFB) supports Joie de Vivre Hospitalitys Core Values. The CDFB will oversee the strategic development of new food and beverage services as well as existing operations throughout the Company. For new businesses, this person will create business plans, manage the interdepartmental concept development process, review project development, manage talent acquisition, public relations and be responsible for successful openings. For new and existing businesses, the CDFB supports and assists the Food and Beverage Directors, Restaurant General Managers and Executive Chefs to maintain the corporate culture, manage financially successful businesses and ensure the quality excellence of product and service. The CDFB will grow their management team to ensure that our expanding food and beverage operations meet the needs of our local communities as well as hotel guests.
Qualifications/Skills:
Essential:
1. College Graduate, preferably with a degree in hospitality, culinary and/or business management. 2. Minimum of 5 years in Food and Beverage Senior Management, preferably in a senior regional or corporate position with a freestanding upscale restaurant group. 3. In-depth knowledge of food and beverage with a sophisticated understanding of current industry trends. 4. Prior restaurant development expertise. 5. Strong aptitude in financial management and analysis. 6. A progressive management style based on respectful and clear communication with the ability to provide active, quality leadership for the management team. 7. Proven experience creating a sound business structure including development of financial reports, service and product quality instruments, employee development and purchasing within the context of varied business models. 8. Proven experience with catering/banquet business.
Desirable:
1. Prior hotel management experience with expertise in Banquets, Catering/Events and Room Service. 2. Culinary expertise 3. Expertise with legal compliance/licensing and construction process. 4. Multi-lingual language skills 5. Computer knowledge in a Windows environment with prior experience with various POS systems and PMS interface.
