Position Description:
New World Home Cooking Co. of Woodstock---a Hudson Valley Landmark known for Exciting Global Heritage Cuisine seeks a working sous chef to learn our system and rock our kitchen through the summer! Schedule is 4 nights, one day 44-48 hour work week. Must be a disciplined leader, open minded with strong cooking skills, ready to rock and roll! We hope to promote this person to Working Chef Position for our new Albany cafi in the fall so there is serious growth potential. Opened in 1993, we are a 1.75 million dollar a year, hands on business. We operate year round with a bustling cafe and mostly weekend on an off premise catering. Our philosophy is to produce hearty, 'Clean" dishes from around the world from scratch with a minimal amount of manipulation. We are active members of Slow Food USA, Chefs Collaborative and the ACF. In the kitchen it's serious business and rock n roll at the same time.
