Top Caterer Seeks Hands-On Executive Chef
The successful candidate will develop creative menus, catering packages, and quality assurance programs within the company. Will develop menu specifications and prepare items in accordance to Company specifications.
Executive chef will maintain shared financial responsibility for the menu mix, food and labor cost with General Manager and assist Catering Director in developing catering function standards. Supervises, schedules, trains, develops and interviews kitchen staff. Must be an effective trainer in all culinary methods and able to advance collegues skill level. Actively participates in event and non-event operations to assure quality and consistency in a high-volume operation as well as maintains sanitation standards of all arena kitchens.
Qualified associates must have experience in high volume fine dining and banquets as well as a thorough knowledge of bulk food preparation and a high level of creativity.
Must have a minimum 10 years culinary experience, knowledge of sanitation procedures and the ability to develop recipes and specialty items. Experience in a high volume, multi-outlet environment is preferred. Strong supervisory, P&L and catering experience required. Must have strong organizational, communication and PC skills.
Graduate from accredited culinary school is required.
