Position Description:
Maine Sports Summer Camp on beautiful Coffee Pond is looking for an experienced chef/manager to run all aspects of the kitchen.
Generous salary plus room, board, laundry, travel and end of season bonus. Access to all facilities, possibility of some arrangements for families.
Season runs from early June to early September but dates are slighly flexible.
Responsibilites: + Oversee all aspects of food production. + Order food and supplies, + Manage, santitation, presentation. + Manage 3-4 cooks, baker and 16 staff. + Serve mostly family style meals to 500.
Requirements: + Hard working, + Good people skills, + Competant experienced in managing a kitchen.
Cedar is a residential sports summer camp celebrating its 53rd season. We home 300 campers and 150 staff for eight weeks each summer. In addition we offer a scholarship camp for inner city kids before and after the main session. The dining hall is a busy place where we mostly serve family style meals with some buffet bars. The food is of high quality and not your basic camp food. There are always two salad bars, a soup bar and a lot of hungry mouths to feed!
