Position Description:
This hands-on, energetic individual will assist the F & B Director in providing leadership and direction by overseeing, developing, and directing F & B managers, and employees in banquet, restaurants, bars, room service, and other food & beverages outlets. They will interact/coordinate with all divisions of the resort, and will recommend best practices and solutions to ensure effectiveness and consistency in guest service and quality.
This role uses creative abilities to continually improve and upgrade F&B operations including culinary, utility and service. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Food & Beverage department and considered the second in command in Food & Beverage. Leads Food and Beverage team in director's absence. Would focus on night functions and considered the senior F & B manager in the evening. Works directly with the Executive Chef in the preparations of menus, cost control, price point, and successful selling of dishes.
Assists managers in ensuring timely and consistent execution of Five Diamond food and beverage service. Assists the director with coordinating the completion of labor reports, payroll, weekly schedules, etc. to ensure obligations are met. Creates and adheres to budgetary requirements. Participate in weekly BEO meeting to ensure coordination of proper staffing, service levels, quality food and presentation requirements are maintained.

Essential Job Requirements: : * College degree (preferably in business or hotel management). * A minimum of five years in senior F& B management position of a small to medium property or two years as the number two position at a large property. * Proven supervisory skills and the ability to provide leadership in a three-year growth plan. * Flexibility, team camaraderie, and proven ability to interface with internal operating departments and hotel staff. * Problem-solving skills to professionally address both internal and external issues and to appropriately interact with co-workers and supervisor. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to successfully interact with hotel guests and staff. * Strong attention to detail. * Computer literacy, including Word and Excel. * Professional track record, appearance, and demeanor. * The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff. * Solid analytical skills that demonstrate knowledge and understanding of financial responsibilities. * Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations, health department regulations, and TIPS certification. * Administration skills to include: - Organized implementation of business - Employee interviewing/hiring - Department orientation - Training, coaching, and counseling staff for maximum productivity and development - Regulating schedules, directing work, and conducting performance evaluations.
Desired: * Knowledge of Infogenesis and Adaco software systems.
