Position Description: Requirement:At least 5 years experience in high-end restaurant and or catering industry Versatile in French, Mediterranean as well as Asian cuisine Familiar with contemporary food styling for Catering and Specialty events Clean and proper appearance sociable-Regular private chef appointments as part of Catering Fulltime schedule am to pm-punctuality an absolute must Current Serve Safe or similar program certificate (NYC Health Dept.) High level of organization and an ability to teach and motivate staff Some Spanish skills are a must
Job Description In charge of all matters relative to the kitchen, including but not limited to: scheduling, hiring, new food production, existing food production, safety, sanitation, ordering, and food cost analysis, labor cost analysis, maintenance, and product storage. Work with all staff to ensure proper procedures are being followed
Food Assist in creating all new catering menu items. Assist in streamlining existing Catering menu items. Make sure food is being produced and delivered on time Sourcing new food products which may be less expensive and/or easier to prep for existing food products.
Purchasing: Monitor all invoices for price fluctuations, ensuring we are paying what we should be paying for all products. Assist management with ordering small-wares and decorative display items as needed.
Maintenance: Maintain the Catering BOH equipment and ensure it is fully operational and complies with sanitation and safety standards.
